JobSaver for Regional NSW
Skybridge Financial welcome the latest changes made by NSW Government’s JobSaver eligibility requirements meaning that Regional Business in NSW who have been affected by the recent lockdowns for all regional NSW can now apply for financial and business support through the JobSaver Payment.
This means that the local Hair Dresser located in Inverell, or the Café located in Grafton whose business suffered after the region went into lockdown can apply, and if they are eligible, receive JobSaver backdate to the start of the regional lockdown. The payment is equivalent to 40% of the weekly payroll for work performed in NSW, minimum payment of $1500 per week up to a maximum payment of $100,000 per week. For Non- Employing business such as a sole trader they may be eligible to receive a payment of $1000 per week.
We see this as a huge win for business’s located regional NSW, who although went into lockdown after Sydney, have also been feeling business and financial stress for a while now, can apply with a lot more certainty.
